This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figure today is Hasbro's Sauron.
Sauron was shown a few weeks ago in the Marvel Legends display case at SDCC, and garnered a lot of attention.
Although the figure is mostly made from existing pieces - movie Lizard with a new head and modified Annihilus wings - don't expect to add it to your collection any time soon. Hasbro has said they just threw that together for fun, not as a true preview for any upcoming figure. If you want one, you'll have to build it yourself.
