So we all know Serpentor is the result of combining the DNA of history's greatest leaders. But just who are those leaders? The filecard said he had the military genius of Napoleon, the ruthlessness of Julius Caesar, the daring of Hannibal, and the fiscal acumen of Attila the Hun (what?), but that can't be all, can it? Here's a list:

Now, the comic specified that Serpentor only had 10 historical DNA donors (plus Storm Shadow and Dr. Mindbender), but the cartoon was much more vague, with the Joes only retrieving a "partial" list of donors - eight names. That gave them the handy excuse of always adding more oddballs as the story required it. Like the time Serpentor regaled the Dreadnoks with a story about how pizza was invented. Yeah. There are also a lot of fully fictional characters in the cartoon's backstory, while the comic stuck closer to reality, Yes, just like usual.
And PS: in the cartoon, Cobra actually failed to get Sun Tzu's DNA, but replaced it with Sgt. Slaughter's.
