Daredevil

Marvel Comics
by yo go re

I could put a lame "blind" joke here, but the comicbook has already used them all to title their storyarcs.

Attorney Matt Murdoch was blinded when he was just a young boy. The accident took his sight, but left his other senses heightened. He uses his extra abilities to fight crime as Daredevil, the Man Without Fear.

After someone threw him a serious beating, DD designed a new armored costume to protect himself. It wasn't long, however, before he returned to the classic red look. I originally picked up this Daredevil (from a Spider-Man line) to customize DD in his original rust/yellow costume, but that figure soon became available as an exclusive from ToyFare. With my oiginal idea already covered (better than I'd be able to do it, too), I decided to try my hand at DD's third costume - the short-lived black and red armored version. I used Das Pront to create all the armor, then painted the entire figure black. I added the red, grey, and fleshtones, then created Daredevil's wrist-mounted billy clubs from a Star Wars 3 3/4" lightsaber. The most difficult part was making sure the red designs lined up properly all the way around the figure.

Daredevil is almost 6" tall, and has 12 points of articulation for ultra-posable gymnastic action!

Yeesh - remember when 12 points of articulation meant a figure was ultra-poseable? Tell us on our message board, the Loafing Lounge.
