Okay, this figure is great and all, but when does he get the metal arms 
and join the Mortal Kombat tournament?
Jax is a terrible character. He's specifically designed to be a terrible character! Gooseworx made him that way on purpose, pouring every despicable trait she loves in characters into what she once described as "my awful boye." [and we wouldn't know just how awful he was at being a boy until much, much later --ed.] He's the secondary protagonist of the show, an annoying jerk who puts up a cruel, distancing facade to hide how much he actually cares about everyone, and how much he's afraid of something happening to them, or them rejecting him; if they're not going to embrace him fully, he'll make himself their villain and push them away first. Like, he poses as the funny rule-pusher, but he's not doing it to be funny. Basically, he's like if Bugs Bunny was an indiscriminate jerk for no reason, instead of being a constructive jerk only to people who wronged him first.
Jax is one of the taller characters, thanks to his ears, but even counting those, he's still supposed to be shorter than Kinger. This mini, however, is much bigger. He's just standing there with his arms crossed and a vaguely mischievous grin. His eyes are off to the side, like he's just said something cutting to somebody behind him and he's trying to sneak a peek to make sure they were hurt by it. His teeth and eyes are a different color than his gloves, and the lavender of his skin goes well with his dusty rose overalls. The figure doesn't have a tail, which is kind of a plot point in the series - him having it or not. But that was later, and these are all based on the early episodes.
Hoppy also gained metal arms for his second Clay Fighter appearance.
